As the front door of Giles County, The Chamber invites visitors, business owners and community
citizens to sit in our rocking chairs and let us show you our Giles
. We seek to meet Giles County’s needs,
uniting businesses, industries and individuals in the common cause of progress
. We enjoy being the
resource for community ideas, activities and information
, adding to the quality of life through special
events and se
rvices, and making Giles County a great home.

 

Tourism/Welcome Center – The Chamber is the only active tourism organization that serves Giles
County. By enhancing tourism efforts, the Chamber is actively increasing tourist revenue to support
the growth of our community.

 

Refer Chamber Member Businesses – The Chamber Office gets an average of 40 phone calls per day.Many of those
are requesting information about where to do business in Giles County. Only Chamber members are referred.

 

Broadcast Emails – Through the Chamber, members may send 4 FREE emails each calendar year (1
per quarter) promoting their business to all the Chamber members. The Chamber Office has
capabilities to scan their advertisement, brochure or business card.

 

Calendar of Events – We have a monthly event calendar on our website. We encourage all our members to let us know of
events, discounts, or special programs they would like to promote on the calendar.

 

Internet – Members get unlimited exposure to internet users through our “Members” button on our
website. Users can type in their company name or category and be directly linked to member’s business

Giles County Chamber Bucks – The bucks are gift certificates that can only be redeemed at
participating member’s businesses. Both the businesses and the county benefit from money staying
in Giles County.  Members interested in accepting chamber bucks and having their names on the

The Brown Bag University – Chamber Members can bring their lunch to the Chamber and enjoy an
hour of fellowship and learning. Periodically, the Chamber presents different business topics from a
variety of businesses who want to share their success and experiences.

 

Coffees or Afterhours – Every second Wednesday of the month, we have breakfast or an evening
event at a different Chamber member’s business. It is very upbeat and fun. We enjoy food, and
take advantage of the wonderful networking opportunity.

 

Spotlight of the Month – One lucky Chamber Member is selected at the beginning of each month.
The winning member gets the spotlight in the Chamber Newsletter and also on the Giles
County Chamber web page.

 

Chamber Newsletter – This high quality publication is done at the Chamber Office and includes
upcoming events, coffee networking events, business information, and general items of interest to
Chamber Members.

 

Member Advantage Program – When members choose to do business with one another, we make our
businesses stronger and our community thrive.  Increase local business-to-business commerce by
checking out the Member Advantage Program.

 

Chamber Hosted Events – Members of the Chamber have reduced pricing on every event.

 

Customer Service Training – The way your staff interacts with your customers can make or break
your bottom line. Schedule on-site Customer Service Training with Chamber CEO Jessie Parker.

 

Membership Directory– This directory is available online at www.gilescountychamber.com and
lists all members by alphabet and category. It is a very handy tool when trying to find out how to
get in touch with other members/businesses.

 

Hospitality Guide – The Chamber offers a hospitality guide to visitors to the community containing
the membership businesses.

 

Advertising/Promotion – All Chamber members may display their brochures or business cards in
the Chamber Office.

 

Mailing Labels – Members may purchase mailing labels, with the addresses of all members, at the
Chamber for $10.

 

Conference Room – Chamber Members may use the conference room in the Chamber
Office. Just call the Chamber office to reserve.

 

Ribbon Cuttings/Grand Openings – New Chamber Businesses or those relocating may have a
Ribbon Cutting or Grand Opening Ceremony. A photo of the ceremony is highlighted in the
monthly Chamber Newsletter. This is a wonderful way to inform the community about your
business.

Notary – The Chamber offers free Notary services to Chamber members.
